Healthcare Journey Advocate
Over the past 33 years I have explored and experienced a variety of specialties in nursing. I wanted to accomplish as much as possible. During this time I was a travel nurse of which spanned over 17 states, with 2 cruise ship companies, and 2 flight companies, (national and international), not to mention here in my local community. I have been dedicated, determined, and diverse in my nursing career.
Along with my nursing career, I decided to broaden my scope and dive into the legal world as well. I began by certifying as a Legal Nurse Consultant. With my LNC, I completed investigations and surveillance cases. Then, I graduated from a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Health Care Law and a Master’s in Nursing in Health Care Systems Management. With these dual Master’s they have opened opportunities for me to seek out my passion of education in the community.
After retirement from ER, with 30 continuous years, I decided to focus, education, hospice, and assisting in healthcare journey advocacy. In a nutshell, making sure people have the most accurate information about their own healthcare journey, proactively.
In April of 2024 I opened Peaceful Journey, LLC. With Peaceful Journey, I am able to educate, advocate, create and guide people through their healthcare journey. Guidance might be through a 1:1 education, small group chats, attending medical appointments, designing a Will, Power of Attorney, Advance Directive or appealing to a insurance claim. I have a lot of resources and connections to make your healthcare journey peaceful.
